CUBC congratulates Rosa Millard (LW’22, WBB ’23) on winning a bronze medal at the British Rowing Beach Sprint Finals in Exmouth, Devon, over the weekend.
Rosa qualified 5th on Saturday to make the top 8 who would contest the head to head races on Sunday.
Battling rough conditions, Rosa took the win in her quarter final comfortably, then lost her semi – final to Jersey’s Searson, who went on to win the Championship. Racing in a bronze medal final against against 2016 Oxford Blue Ruth Siddorn, who was racing for Upper Thames RC, Rosa come out on top in a tight race to win the bronze.
She was welcomed back to the beach by 2021 Women’s President Sophie Paine (WBB ’20, ’21) who was commentating at the event!
