Escaping floods and storms in the UK, CUBC’s squads are training in Sabaudia, Italy, and Aviz, Portugal in their preparation for the 2024 Boat Races.
Both venues promised long stretches of water for the all important aerobic conditioning and 2k courses for coaches to test their squads through seat racing and have delivered. Athletes and coaches have commented that the new venues have been a further step forward for the programmes, noting the facilities and attention to detail at both venues.
