CUBC alumni had a weekend out at the Head of the Charles, with a number of wins and medal recorded.
Lightweight Women’s Single Scull
- Brigid Kennedy won her category in a dominating preformance, leading the rest of the field by 25 seconds.
Senior Masters Double Scull
- Guy Pooley (s), David Gillard (b) racing for Crabtree paced well and won by 5 seconds over Antares BC.
Senior Masters Coxed Four
- Crabtree’s Matt Parish (s), Stephen Peel (2), Sean Gorvy (b), won and took the course record, closely followed in second by Matt Brittin (s), Toby Backhouse (3), Colin Scott (2) racing for Molesey.
Parent/Child Double Scull
- Ollie Parish (s), Matt Parish (b) won handily with Guy and Henry Pooley placing 4th.
The 2020 Women’s Boat Race crew finally had their Boat Race, placing 9th in the Women’s Alumnae 8s, whilst Liv Coffey placed 4th in the invitational elite pairs, and Nate Kirk and Rob Hurn rowed in the Yale 8 that placed 4th in Men’s Alumni 8s.
