Knowing that the first two places in their heat would take his four straight to the A-Final in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, Ollie Parish led a very mature race profile in their heat of the U23 coxed 4.
Led off the start by the Italian 4+ which set the fastest time of the heats, Ollie’s 4 pursued the Italians down the course, distancing Romania, New Zealand, and Poland, who will have to qualify from the repechages.
With a comfortable margin over 3rd place, Ollie crew maintained pressure on the Italians, and will set themselves up for a great final on Saturday morning.
Luca Ferraro, sitting at 7 in the GB U23 8, will race tomorrow at 0810 local time.
