Cambridge crews announced: Henley Royal Regatta and Henley Women’s Regatta 2026

Cambridge University Boat Club has confirmed its line-up for the 2026 Henley Royal Regatta and Henley Women’s Regatta, with a strong and wide-ranging set of entries across both events as the Club looks to close out 2025-26 and build momentum into the coming season.

Cambridge Men | Henley Royal Regatta

Chief Men’s Coach Rob Baker said of this year’s entries:

“We’re really looking forward to Henley, where we have our largest entry for many years. Despite losing four members of the squad to national team commitments, we’re fielding a composite eight in the Ladies’ Plate, including four athletes who will be joining Cambridge next year. It’s a great opportunity to begin building towards next season and to put together a strong crew for Henley.

We have two entries in the Temple Challenge Cup: the first made up of eligible rowers from the Blue Boat, Goldie, and our third eight, and the second a combination of Lightweight Men and members of the third eight. We’re also fielding a strong four in the Prince Albert Challenge Cup, as well as Nikita Mohr in the Diamond Challenge Sculls.

We’re looking forward to competing hard across all four events.”

Cambridge Women | Henley Royal Regatta

Chief Women’s Coach Paddy Ryan reflects on a promising campaign:

“We have two eights entered in the Island Challenge Cup this year, alongside a crew in the Hambledon Challenge Cup (W2-). At Women’s Eights Head of the River in March, we recorded the fastest and second-fastest student eights, which gave us real confidence and enthusiasm to target Henley this season.

While the crews racing here are not identical to those at WeHORR, due to availability and eligibility, the group has continued to build strongly. Following The Boat Race, we returned to eight-based training ahead of Met Regatta, where we showed encouraging speed against strong crews from Durham, UL and Brookes in the Championship division. It was also particularly pleasing to see our second eight win the Academic category.

The crews are developing real cohesion and maturity, and we’re excited to test ourselves against the very best crews from across the UK and internationally. It’s a fantastic opportunity, and one we hope will lead to a successful and memorable week.”
