Later this month, Fiona will join CUBC as its new Executive Secretary, alongside Tina Goode. In Fiona’s time at Cambridge she completed a BA in Education, followed by a PGCE and an M.Ed, where she also found time to trial for CUWBC and cox for Corpus Christi.
After studying at Cambridge, Fiona worked as a teacher and house mistress in Cambridge schools where she specialised in working with children with educational difficulties. Fiona maintained an involvement in rowing with City of Cambridge where she acted in a number of roles including Welfare.
In 2018, Fiona returned to the University as a Research Assistant at the Centre for Neuroscience in Education, where she has been an author on a number of publications regarding children with dyslexia and other educational difficulties.
She currently works as a scientific administrator at Cancer Research UK, and brings extensive experience with the University to the Executive Secretary role along with a great focus for detail and an understanding of rowing and athlete welfare.
We welcome Fiona to CUBC and wish her all success with the Club.
