The 2026 World Rowing Championships will take place in Amsterdam from 24-30 August, with 13 CUBC alumni and current student-athletes selected to represent their countries on the world stage.
Reigning World Champions James Robson, Douwe de Graaf and George Bourne have been named in the Great Britain Men’s Four as they look to defend their title.
Among the current squad, 2026 Blue Gabriel Obholzer has been selected for the Great Britain Men’s Eight, while fellow 2026 Blue Freddy Breuer will compete in the German Men’s Eight. Meanwhile, 2026 Goldie five-man Leonard Brahms will represent Germany in the Men’s Pair.
On the women’s side, 2025 Women’s Blue Boat stroke Samantha Morton has been selected for the Australian Women’s Eight. Blues Megan Lee, Claire Collins and Camille Vandermeer will race in the United States Women’s Eight, while 2026 Blue Antonia Galland has been named in the German Women’s Eight.
Elsewhere, Olympic champion Imogen Grant will represent Great Britain in the Women’s Four, and Paige Badenhorst has been selected to race for South Africa in the Women’s Single Sculls.
In addition, Mathilda Kitzman (2026 Blondie) and Charlotte Ebel (2026 Blue) have been selected to represent Germany in the Women’s Four at the FISU World University Rowing Championships.
