Cambridge University Boat Club enjoyed an excellent showing at last week’s German Small Boat Championships in Munich, with standout performances from four CUBC athletes.
Frederik Breuer, stroke of the 2026 Men’s Blue Boat, teamed up with Goldie’s Leonard Brahms to claim second place in the men’s doubles. Reflecting on the result, Breuer told Team Deutschland‑Achter: “We’ve been progressing well from race to race. We couldn’t have expected more than finishing second.”
Nikita Mohr, who rowed in the 4-seat of the winning Men’s Lightweight crew, also impressed, winning the B‑Final in the lightweight men’s single scull.
On the women’s side, Mia Freischem of the Cambridge women’s Blue Boat raced in the double scull alongside her sister, Lilli Freischem, who rowed in the Oxford women’s Blue Boat.
Congratulations to all four athletes on their excellent performances in Munich.
