Elected in June 2025, CUBC’s Presidents work in close partnership with each other and the Club’s Board of Directors.
Gemma King (LMBC)
Women’s President

Gemma began rowing as a junior at Lady Eleanor Holles School Boat Club before starting at the University of Cambridge in 2018. She studied for an undergraduate degree in Natural Sciences and is now entering her third year of a PhD in stem cell biology.
This will be her eighth campaign with CUBC, having rowed for lightweights in 2019 & 2022, Blondie (women’s reserves) in 2020, 21 & 23, and the victorious 2024 & 2025 Blue Boats. She served as vice-president in 2025 and is excited to step into the role of president. She is hoping to continue CUBC’s long run of success!
Noam Mouelle (Hughes Hall)
Men’s President

Noam began rowing at the age of nine in the Paris area. With his home club, Société Nautique du Perreux, he won multiple national titles and represented France at both the Junior and U23 World Championships. He also spent time rowing in Brussels before beginning his undergraduate degree in Physics at Imperial College London in 2018.
In October 2022, Noam joined the University of Cambridge to pursue a PhD in Physics and became a member of CUBC. He raced in the Blue Boat in 2023, 2024, and 2025, winning each year. Serving as President is, for Noam, a meaningful way to give back to the club, and he’s excited to lead the team into one final campaign.
Josh Moore (Queens’)
Lightweight Men’s President

Josh learned to row at Queens’ College Boat Club in 2021. He won blades in Lent Bumps in 2023 with Queens’ M1 and was twice Treasurer and served as Club President in 2025. While on a year abroad for his modern languages degree in French and Russian, Josh also spent time rowing with HEC Paris Business School. A highlight of his time there was winning the Régates de Versailles with HEC.
In September 2024, Josh began trialling with CUBC and was a member of the winning 2025 Lightweight Men’s Blue Boat. Josh is currently completing an MPhil in Russian Studies and is excited to serve as President so he can help introduce the next generation of Lightweight Men to the truly unique university experience of rowing in The Boat Races.
Helena Olandi (Hughes Hall)
Lightweight Women’s President

Helena learned to row at Hughes Hall Boat Club at the start of her Graduate Medicine degree in 2021. She won blades in Lent Bumps in 2022 with the W2 crew, and superblades in May Bumps 2023 and 2024 with the W1.
In her first year trialling in 2025, she was a spare for the Lightweight crew, and came top 10 when representing Cambridge at BUCS in the single. Rowing is part of her life back home in Italy now too, where she won her age category 6k national erg challenge, and rows any boat that will float on Lake Caldonazzo.
She is committed to upholding the longstanding legacy set by the Lightweights, trusting in the power of unity and unrelenting love for the sport.
