The Club is sad to inform its members of the death of John Horner, of Emmanuel College. John came up to Cambridge in 1971, and rowed in the winning 1972 Goldie boat. He then captained Emmanuel in 1973, winning his blades in Mays.
After leaving Cambridge, John completed his PhD at King’s College London and captained of ULBC in 1975 when they won the Ladies Plate.
Members are invited to celebrate his life at his memorial service, which will be held on Friday 27th May at Claverdon Church, CV35 8PD at 11.30.
