Dr Renae Domaschenz made her Australian Rowing Team debut in 2018 as the coxswain of the PR3 Mixed Coxed Four. Building on her cancer research PhD at Cambridge, worked as a Medical Research Fellow at Australian National University and as a high performance rowing coach for the ACT Academy of Sport while fulfilling her national team duties.

Most recently she has taken up the position of Sports Director for Canberra Girls Grammar School where she hopes to inspire and drive passion for elite sport among young women.

Renae cites Cambridge as her favourite place to row, a somewhat unsurprising choice as she is a former coxswain for CUWBC, coxing the CUW Lightweight crew in the 2004 Henley Boat Races.
