CUBC welcomes Autumn Mantell as Assistant Coach

CUBC today welcomed Autumn Mantell as its new Assistant Women’s Coach.

Autumn joins CUBC from Oxford Brookes where, along with coxing, worked with former CUBC Assistant Coach Richard Chambers to prepare Brookes’ women’s crews for their successful 2021 campaign. Before her time at Brookes, Autumn successfully coached at Bedford Modern School whilst coxing at Molesey Boat Club. She represented GB at the U23 World Championships in 2018 and 2019.

CUBC Chief Women’s Coach Patrick Ryan said, “I’m very happy indeed that Autumn has joined us at CUBC. Her coxing and coaching outlook are exactly what we are looking for, and I’m excited to work with Autumn as she grows in experience as a coach”.

Autumn commented, “I’m honoured to have been offered the position. CUBC has built an amazing women’s program, and I’m looking forward to working with Paddy to build the next generation of successful CUBC athletes”.

Autumn’s first racing test with CUBC will be at the Fullers Head of the River Fours on Saturday 13th November where the Club will seek to re-take the titles in the Womens’s Coxed and Coxless Fours.
