CUBC athletes racing at European Rowing Championships


Three members of CUBC’s Blue Boats will be representing GB at this week’s European Rowing Championships in Munich. Racing on the 1972 Olympic course, CUBC’s World Rowing Cup winners will be in the following boats

  • Men’s Pair: Tom George and Ollie Wynne-Griffith [both Peterhouse]
  • Women’s Lightweight Double Scull: Imogen Grant [Trinity] returns to the boat with her Olympic partner Emily Craig [ULBC]
  • Men’s Four: Freddie Davidson [alum]
  • Men’s Eight: Henry Fieldman [alum]

George and Wynne-Griffith, coached by CUBC Men’s Chief Coach, Rob Baker have been undefeated at World Cup competition, and will go in as favourites.

Imogen’s lightweight double is this year unraced, Imogen returning to the Olympic pairing with Emily Craig after an undefeated season in the Lightweight Single, highlighted by a World Best Time in winning World Rowing Cup 3 in Lucerne.
