CUBC announces new Assistant Women’s Coach

CUBC is happy to announce that Matilda Horn will join its coaching staff as Assistant Women’s Coach. Matilda brings a huge understanding of the sport, with her lifelong interest in the sport commencing with the junior program at Eton Excelsior Rowing Club, and including highlights such as coxing the GB Women’s 8 at the Tokyo Olympics.

Since retiring from elite competition, Matilda has coached at Fulham Reach Boat Club and the American School in London, and continues to mentor coxes nationally.

Chief Women’s Coach Patrick Ryan said, “I’m hugely excited to welcome Matilda to CUBC. She brings a truly impressive capability to the Club. I’m especially impressed by her understanding of CUBC’s culture and how we seek to row. I’m looking forward to working with her as we work towards the 2024 Boat Races and continue building our winning culture.”

Matilda commented, 
I’m looking forward to starting with CUBC and working with Paddy and the student athletes to build the best possible team and experience for the 2024 Boat Races. The CUBC culture and team are fantastic, and I can’t wait to be a part of the Club.”
