2022 CUBC Women’s Blue Boat Member Paige Badenhorst (Magdalene 2021), having narrowly missed qualification for the Paris 2024 Olympics, raced for the last 2 places in the Openweight Double with partner Katherine Williams.

Racing 6 crews, including Swiss former World Single Scull Champion Jeanne Gmelin, and a number of Olympians including GB’s Mathilda Hodgkins-Byrne, Paige and Katherine progressed to the repechage where they booked their place in the final.

The final saw the Czech W2x clear out to a lead, and a host of boats racing for the second place. Paige and Katherine went through the 1000m in 6th, but worked their way through the field to finish 4th in a great race, but one that was not quite enough to qualify them for Paris.
