Banyoles-Training Camp 2019

CULRC kicked off the New Year with a week of training at Lake Banyoles, the venue used for the 1992 Barcelona Olympics, alongside CUWBC’s openweight and lightweight rowers.
This was a fantastic week for the whole squad, as the opportunity to do multiple water sessions per day, while surrounded by the striking environment framing the lake, saw all the athletes step up a gear in their training and attack it with even more drive. All crews gained enormously from the training, which saw us clocking in many kilometres of steady state, along with race pieces along the famous course in which some of our fastest speeds of the season were reached.
This has set the tone for a high-performance term ahead of us, in which we are looking forward to tapping into the advancements that were made over camp, continue to progress in speed, and be ready to face Oxford on the 23rd of March
