Welcome to Dick Millard

We announce and welcome Dick Millard as Club Coordinator.

Dick will be responsible for administrative support our Coaching team, Executive Committee and our University partners, sponsors and stakeholders.

“We are all delighted to welcome Dick as our new Club Coordinator to Cambridge University Women’s and Lightweights.  He brings a breadth of knowledge to our Club, having undertaken a number of roles at key sports clubs. Dick understands our sport from grass roots up and his experience will play a key role in the next stage of developing rowing for the Boat Races at Cambridge University”  said Siobhan Cassidy, CUWBC Chair

Abba Parker CUWBC President says “We’re excited to welcome Dick onto our team.  He will offer excellent administrative support for our squad to contribute to our success on and off the water.”

Dick’s first career as a communications advisor took him around the world advising major corporations on all aspects of their affairs.  For the last 10 years Dick has devoted his time to his daughter and alongside this volunteered in a number of roles, all connected to sport.  From Chair of Hackney Aquatics, Board member of Sport Islington to Director of Junior Rowing at Lea Rowing Club, Dick has been developing clubs and sports organisations from behind the scenes, enabling more young people to access a variety of sports and become part of great clubs and communities.

Having been a fan of Cambridge prior to joining the team, Dick comments “I am absolutely delighted to be joining one of the most famous teams in high performance rowing”.

Dick looks forward to becoming part of the Cambridge University rowing community and we look forward to introducing him to our community of alumni and supporters far and wide.
