Crew announced for Lightweight Women’s Boat Race


We are delighted to introduce the Cambridge crew to race Oxford’s Lightweight Women.

 

At 3pm on Sunday 15th March the annual varsity match between CUWBC Lightweights and Oxford Lightweights will take place. Cambridge have been racing Oxford since 1984 in the annual Varsity Boat Race at Henley-on-Thames where the race was over 2,000m. Now, for the first time in the race’s history, it will be held along the Championship Course from Putney to Mortlake, a distance of 6.8km.  CUWBC alumna, Claire Briegal will act as Umpire. The Lightweight  Men’s race will take place one hour after the women’s at 4pm.
