The Cambridge Association For Local History has announced the winners of their annual book award.
CALH is a thriving local history group founded in 1951 to give local historians a community to share their passion and knowledge about Cambridge and the surrounding areas. This popular association also organises excursions and guided visits to historic churches. With its programme of events and publications the association encourages a new generation of local historians through its awards to school local history projects. The Book Awards is just one highlight of their calendar and CUWBC is delighted that Jane and Carol’s “The struggle against inequality: Cambridge University Women’s Boat Club 1941-2014′ has been recognised as an important part of the history of Cambridge.
Jane will be with at the Cambridge Rowing Alumni Brunch on Sunday 25th September, where copies of the book will be available for sale. To book your place, click here.
